Don’t Judge a Box by Its Cover:
Ambit Attic’s Sustainable Shipping Mission
The Problem: Packaging Waste is Everywhere
The U.S. produces 17 billion cardboard boxes annually, yet millions still end up in landfills. Even worse, plastic packaging—which can take decades to decompose—makes up 12.2% of municipal waste.
At Ambit Attic LLC, we don’t just talk about sustainability—we live it. Our shipping process is built on reuse, repurposing, and responsible sourcing, ensuring every package we send has the smallest possible environmental footprint.
Landfill vs. Circular Economy
Our Process: Giving Every Box a Second Life
1. Sourcing Boxes: Waste Not, Want Not
We never buy new boxes if we can avoid it. Instead, we collect:
Supplier & product shipments (from our own inventory restocks)
Personal orders (Amazon packages, shoe boxes, electronics packaging, etc.)
Local store donations (broken-down boxes saved from landfills)
Customer returns (when applicable)
Every box that comes through our doors gets inspected, cleaned, and prepped for reuse.
2. Filler & Cushioning: Eco-Friendly Protection
We reuse:
Cardboard inserts from electronics packaging
Paper padding from shipments
Air pillows & bubble wrap (only if already in circulation)
For new protective packaging, we only source biodegradable materials from certified sustainable suppliers, ensuring even our soft packaging leaves no harmful trace.
3. Shipping with Purpose
When you order from us, your product ships in:
A repurposed box (with labels removed or crossed out)
Reused or biodegradable cushioning
Minimal tape (just enough to secure, never excess)
We believe sustainability shouldn’t sacrifice quality—your items arrive safely, without contributing to waste.
Why This Matters
Reduces demand for new materials (saving trees, water, and energy)\
Keeps usable boxes out of landfills (where they’d take months to decompose)
Supports a true circular economy (waste becomes a resource, not trash)
Join Us in Making a Difference
Every time you order from Ambit Attic, you’re choosing a greener future. Help us prove that the most sustainable box isn’t always a shiny new one—it’s the one that gets used again.

Bonus: The Bigger Picture on Packaging Waste
The U.S. generates 96 million tons of packaging waste yearly—enough to fill 1,000 football stadiums.
Cardboard decomposes in 2 months, but recycling saves 700 million trees annually.
"Biodegradable" labels can be misleading—proper disposal is key to real impact.
Your choices matter. By supporting businesses that refuse, reuse, and repurpose, you’re helping turn the tide on waste.
We love our reviewers!
I’m loving the kitchen tool set I got
I also LOVE the fact that your shipping materials are all reused. I wanted to send you evidence of that cycle continuing.
As soon as I opened the box Candles hopped right in, and now it’s one of her favorite spots to rest.
Have an amazing day,
